How We Ship Joe’s KC Bar-B-Que

Before placing your order, please review each section below to understand how shipping, delivery, and product handling works.

Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que ships all meats and side dishes fully cooked, vacuum sealed, and packed in insulated coolers with frozen gel packs and/or dry ice.

  • Products should arrive partially frozen or refrigerator-cold. If your order contains dry ice, it will likely have evaporated upon delivery — this is normal.
  • Upon arrival, refrigerate for use within 7 days or freeze for up to 9 months.
  • Reheating instructions are included; full thawing may take 24–48 hours.
  • It is safe to refreeze items as long as they arrive cold and are frozen again within 48 hours.
  • Shipped orders have a cart minimum of $99.99.
  • Fulfillment occurs Monday–Friday. Orders after 11:30 AM CST ship the next business day.
  • Residential deliveries: Tuesday–Saturday. Commercial: Tuesday–Friday.
  • Orders placed late in the week or weekends may ship the following week.
  • We operate four U.S.-based warehouses, replenished from our Kansas City USDA facility.
  • Standard Ground shipping typically delivers in 1–3 business days. Sundays excluded.
  • Driver release: Packages are left at the door; no signature required.
  • Hawaii and Alaska require next-day air shipping.
  • You’ll receive tracking updates after shipment. Contact us directly if delayed.
  • We ship only to valid street addresses. P.O. Boxes are not accepted.
  • Joe’s KC Bar-B-Que is not responsible for incorrect or incomplete addresses.
  • Gift shipments: double-check recipient address accuracy.
  • Ensure someone is available to receive the package.
  • For events, order at least one week in advance; products can stay frozen or chilled safely.
