The Assistant Front Line Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive learning and coaching environment, where all employees are valued and treated with respect and dignity. The Assistant Front Line Manager will conduct themselves in a professional manner with integrity and honesty while managing the daily operations of the restaurant, including the selection, development, and performance management of employees. The Assistant Front Line Manager will inspire the staff to high levels of service and hospitality towards our employees and customers by creating and maintaining an accurate, fun, caring, courteous, and respectful environment. The ultimate goal is for all customers to leave the restaurant happy.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work well under times of intense pressure and communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization with a High School diploma and 2 years restaurant experience. Some college and supervisory experience highly desirable, but not required. Exemplary teamwork, communication, organizational and multitasking skills are a must for this position.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Carry out all instructions/direction from the Front Line Manager and General Manager (GM) and assume GM role during the absence of the GM and Front Line Manager
  • Able to assume role of any Front Line position including, but not limited to, supervisor, order taker, production and cashier.
  • Oversee, train, develop, and manage all Supervisors, and employees
  • Oversee and manage all front line and dining room operations
  • Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues
  • Ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts
  • Supervise, coach, develop, mentor and discipline employees when necessary
  • Make recommendations for disciplinary action for approval to make employment decisions
  • Train new Front Line employees as necessary
  • Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen/dining areas
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
  • Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service
  • Maintain restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
  • Ensure that all areas of the restaurant including restrooms, parking lots, dock areas, and dining rooms are kept clean
  • Maintain ServSafe certification and uphold all ServSafe guidelines
  • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service
  • Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets
  • Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
  • Complete accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or employee is injured
  • Performs other duties as assigned
